Many are in labor, spiritually speaking. God has put something in your womb that you have been nurturing and growing for some time now. We rarely ever know the exact date of delivery. We just nurture, protect, nourish, and plan for what will be birthed. Sometimes God says PUSH and you must obey. You dont always have the luxury of thinking, “what are the consequences if I push? What will happen if I wait? Is this really the right time? ” Just like a woman in delivery timing is important. You dont want to deliver too soon, but neither is holding on too long a good option. You must learn the timing of God.

As prophetic people we tend to live in the future a lot so when God says something we want to run headlong into it, but the appointed time may be several years in the future. Sometimes God says now is the time to rest. That may be hard as you are amped up wanting to see this thing you know that is inside of you become a reality, but if you birth it now, it won’t survive. When God says push, you push. When He says rest, learn to rest.

Abraham and Sarah learned this important lesson. In Genesis 15 Abraham was promised a child. In their waiting on this promise they got anxious and took matters into their own hands (Genesis 16). Abraham’s descendants are still fighting to this day because they did not wait on God. It took 25 years for their promise to be birthed. Can you wait 25 years if that’s what it takes to see the promises God has given you?

Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.
Isaiah 40:31 NASB

Continually pushing when it’s not the correct time will wear you out and discourage you. And sometimes bring opposition to your promise.

There are things in my womb (yes men have a spiritual womb, just ask Elijah, 1 Kings 18:41-45) that have been there for 12 years. If I would have kept pushing that whole time I would have not only hurt myself but could have devastated part of my destiny.

BUT, when God says it’s time, it’s time. No looking back, no deciding wait I cant do this. The time is upon us when many are in labor. Be ready for when God says PUSH, you better push. It may be hard, it may be tiring but the end result will be so worth it.
